Over the past centuries, the traditional occupation of local people has been farming and pottery.
The local mineral spring water was used for the old village spa baths. The spa was built in mid 19th century by Mr. Cserzus and many people have benefited from the healing properties of the water. At preset the spa complex is under reconstruction and hopefully will soon welcome its first customers follow refurbishment. It will also offer many working opportunities for local residents thus helping to sort out the very high level of unemployment in the region.
