This small Slovak village is situated in a valley by the stream commonly known as Turiec. With only 81 inhabitants and total cadastral area of 540 hectares, this village and its inhabitants are trying to protect their local rural life and village traditions. The village facilities include:

Village library which has got numerous books on various subjects, novels, dictionaries, magazines and newspapers Cultural hall which is open all year round for cultural events, fairs and festivals and can also be hired for various social occasions.
General stores which offer fresh food including bread, rolls, milk, cheese and other dairy products as well as some green grocery, meat products, detergents, cosmetics and stationery.

The health care for our inhabitants which includes dentist surgery and children’s center is provided in the nearby village of Rákova. There are currently no restaurants or private guest houses in the village however these tourist’s facilities can be found in some of the nearby villages and towns.
