Village Stará Bašta is situated in the southern part of the Rimavská Sobota district with 380 inhabitants.
|
|
In the terrier of the village is located a state nature reserve Pohanský castle. It takes a periphery of basalt lava flow which is ended by reefs 30m high with some phoney cave areas and stone seas. Archeological field. Anorganic values of this area are completed by protected kinds of plants and animals.
