Hronská Dúbrava
It is more than 600 years (in 1388), since the Hronská Dúbrava has been mentioned in archival documents. Original occupiers specialized in agriculture and incineration of wooden coal. In the second half of 19th century the village became a significant junction. The most important period of Hronská Dúbrava was the Slovak National Uprising (SNU). Annually the inhabitants commemorate it by celebrations, transmission, grounding chaplets or evening cultural progamme and bonfire.

The area of Hronská Dúbrava belongs to the highland period. It lies near the river Hron in the middle of Kremnické and Štiavnicke mountains. The area offers an opportunity of hiking to Močiar, Demian or the peak Budinná. In the summer season also on the edges of mentioned peaks. The village is also a centre of watermanship.
Hronská Dúbrava id divided into 2 parts – the lower and the upper.
The upper part is nowadays used as a place for recreation and villeinage. Also the historical core, old cementary, chaple, the memorial of Slovak National Uprising and mass graves from the SNU period are situated in the upper part. In the winter season it is possible to use the private ski-lift, where you can also accommodate in the private hostel.
In the lower part there is an infrastructure provided. There are also the sport area and the basis of watermanship. A building-up of a small water power station on the river Hron is being prepared.

Trať mládeže
Táto železnica nahradila v roku 1949 úzkokoľajku nazývanú Štiavnická Anča na vyše 20 km úseku údolia riečky Jasenica z Hronskej Dúbravy do Banskej Štiavnice. Na jej výstavbe sa počas osemnástich mesiacov vystriedalo vyše 47 mladých brigádnikov z Československa i z rôznych európskych a zámorských krajín.
