The village has been established in 1232.
The village of Hrušovo belongs to the microregion of Teplý Vrch and has got two major parts - Striežovce and Ostrany. The area around Hrušovo is known for its natural potential, there are many small caves and protected plants. The major religious building of the village are local churches and bell houses.
