Folklore festivals of Podhorie
Tradition of folklore festivals is held in the natural amphitheatre of village Podhorie (district Banská Štiavnica) for two decades. It is a popular parade of folklore groups, folklore music, instrumentalists, music groups or solo singers and dancers – their members are children and adults from districts Banská Štiavnica, Žiar nad Hronom, Žarnovica, Nová Baňa.
Accompanying events of the festival are:
- exhibitions: textile products, room of traditions, craft fair – demonstration of techniques
- tasting of local specialties
- attractions for children – horse riding, carousel, creative workshops, school of dance...
